Free Therapy Support in Pasadena for Wildfire Survivors

Free Pasadena Therapy Sessions for LA Wildfire Survivors: A Vital Resource for Healing and Support

As Los Angeles grapples with the emotional aftermath of devastating wildfires, Concerned Citizens of South Central Los Angeles (CCSCLA) is stepping up to offer support and healing for those affected. In partnership with Epiphany Counseling, Christian Liberation Ministries, and Loveland Community Development Corporation, CCSCLA is hosting a series of free therapy sessions designed specifically for wildfire survivors.

Introducing the "Dealing & Healing" Support Initiative

The initiative, aptly named "Dealing & Healing," aims to provide a safe and nurturing space for individuals who have been affected by the recent wildfires. Every Wednesday in February, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, survivors can access professional therapy, grief recovery, and essential community resources—all at no cost.

These support sessions are designed for anyone who has been impacted by the wildfires, whether they have lost their homes, faced trauma, or are simply in need of a supportive environment to process their experiences. The goal is to help individuals begin the journey of emotional recovery and resilience.

When and Where?

  • Dates: Every Wednesday in February (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th)
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (a warm meal will be provided at 5:30 PM before each session)

This initiative is not only a chance to speak with licensed therapists but also an opportunity to connect with others who have faced similar hardships and share in a communal healing experience. These sessions are designed to help participants process their grief, trauma, and emotions in a structured yet compassionate environment.

Support for Emotional Healing After Disasters

Wildfires leave behind more than just physical damage—they create lasting emotional scars that can be difficult to cope with. Survivors often experience feelings of loss, anxiety, and grief that can linger long after the fire is over. "Dealing & Healing" is a direct response to these emotional needs, offering professional guidance and a sense of community for those in need.

A representative from CCSCLA shared, “We understand the emotional toll disasters take on individuals and families. Our goal is to help survivors process their experiences, heal, and connect with resources that can aid in their recovery." These therapy sessions are meant to help survivors of all backgrounds cope with their trauma and navigate the recovery process.

Why Attend?

This initiative provides a host of invaluable benefits to wildfire survivors, including:

  • Emotional Support: Professional therapists are on hand to guide participants through grief and trauma recovery.
  • Community Connection: Connecting with others who share similar experiences can help survivors feel less isolated.
  • Free Services: The therapy sessions, meals, and resources are completely free of charge.
  • Access to Vital Resources: Survivors can learn about available local and federal assistance programs.

Whether you are grieving a loss, managing the stress of displacement, or simply seeking a safe place to talk, these sessions provide a crucial outlet for healing.

How to Get Involved

Attending the "Dealing & Healing" sessions is simple, and anyone impacted by the wildfires is encouraged to come. If you or someone you know has been affected, do not hesitate to take advantage of this supportive initiative. There is no need to register in advance, though individuals are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they receive a meal before the therapy sessions begin.
